Synthetic dreads are the next step for me. I ordered the hair this weekend and am just waiting for it to come in. Mine will be blue and purple. So, I thought I would show you guys some dreads from other people.
Well, the VC shampoo worked well enough for me to do my hair finally. I AM A SMURF! My boss likes it. I think I might have scared my grandparents to death. My mom and boyfriend like it. Now, I am just waiting for school.
However, while I was out yesterday I did have a slightly odd experience. First off, while I was at the skate park with my little crew(my boyfriend, his brother and one to two of out friends) I had a bunch of stupid guys on bikes look at me and go “OHHHH MAAA GAAAWWDDD! ‘ER HAIR BLUE!” I may have then proceeded to flick them off as we drove off. It probably didn’t help that I really get pissed off by people who ride bikes in general.
When we pulled up to my boyfriends we noticed the neighbor girl who’s about twelve had a few friends over. They were all in odd prissy clothes and literally looked like they were going to clown school. They then decided I was a thug and kept screaming that at me and my friends. When I emerged from the tinted window car they all freaked out having a similar reaction to the bikers. I looked at them once and they all ran inside and tried to taunt me from the safety behind a locked door.
Anyway, I will leave you with this: I don’t think I could live without hair, makeup and styling, let alone be the performer I am. I am a glamour girl through and through. I believe in the glamorous life and I live one. -Lady Gaga
It has been one week. I can’t tell how much of a change is happening. I talked to my mother about it and she says it looks like it’s becoming more even in color, which is good. Well, it can’t hurt to stick with it!
My one inspiration from day one, the one and only fabulous Jeffree Star! His makeup style is very defined and very bold. The most impressive part is he does it every day. Finding a picture of him without makeup is like finding a needle in a haystack, not to be cliche’. He consistently has his makeup face done up and always has great hair. He will never stop amazing his fans with all his different bold, sexy looks.
Alright, if you are on top of thing here unlike myself, you will notice day five is missing. My phone threw a temper tantrum yesterday and wouldn’t let me take picture. However, I put it in timeout and it learned it’s lesson.
Anyway, I swear my hair got yellower… I am truly seeing thing I’m sure of it. I’ve decided I’m going to start(tomorrow) to use a backdrop of some kind that will be consistent in all my new Vitamin C posts!
Metamorphistopheles is a YouTube makeup artist. I recently came across him while browsing videos. The first video I saw by him was a gothic makeup. Now, one of the things that really caught my eye as I was browsing his videos would be this: he can pluck his eyebrows…which as you will find out, I cannot do to save my life. However, I learned a lot that I’ve started using to help shaping my eyebrow. Then he proceeded to do the one thing I’ve been trying to get the guts to do forever, shave them off.
He does everything from very dramatic makeup:
to everyday makup:
And this brings me to my little rant, I am completely and totally convinced all good makeup artist are male and are not from America…because America pretty much sucks, welcome to the USA!
Anyway back on topic, I watch thousands of videos on makeup and such all the time, I have only found a few I think are worth talking about and this is one of those select artist.
Alright, sorry guys, I got lazy and forgot yesterdays post; so here is yesterday’s photo:
Here is todays:
I finally started to notice a real difference today. It’s either working or I’m seeing things!
Well, this is after my second wash with the vitamin C shampoo. I think it is a little darker because I was sick and stayed in bed all day so the oils in my hair had time to settle too much. Check in tomorrow for the new picture.
This is my hair after the first wash with my Vitamin C homemade shampoo. I’ll be posting a picture every day for the next month as a way to monitor my hair’s lightening process.
I would give a specific formula for the shampoo, but there is none. The closes ratio estimate I can get is this:
7 crushed Vitamin C pills/1 1/2 cups of dish soap.
This will change a little depending on your dish soap. The shampoo should be liquid, but be more ash colored then the dish soap by itself.
It’s really a estimating and play as you go kind of thing. TRY IT OUT! Record your exact ingredients and let me know!
